Also before taking the blood test for test like ELISA and CD4 for checking the HIV, the patient should prepare for taking unusable syringe, which must be disposable after first use. In case of TB patient, before diagnosing and treating this infectious disease, the physician prescribes the patients to carry out some test for assuring the symptoms of this disease. Therefore, for confirming the TB symptoms a patient has to carry out sputum test, urine test, X-ray of lungs under the observation of clinical lab assistant.

As far as patient preparation by medical technologists is concerned, the patient also has to eat nothing for X-ray report. For a sputum test, a patient is guided by the lab technician to take the early morning sputum without eating anything. The second sample of sputum has to taking the breakfast.
